Task 1:
Simple Faith...
For too long, we as the church have made being disciples of Jesus Christ too complicated. We have taken what Jesus said as he called those first people and added to it a complicated structure of compliance and performance. As a result, the relevance of being a follower of Jesus Christ has been lost in a noisy modern cultural paradigm where faith is irrelevant or seen as a crutch. Join us as we explore what it means to deconstruct our belief systems and discover again what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:11 - "For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ...." Join us as we discover again what this means today.
Task 2:
Being Family...
Our family structures in current culture are very different to what has been throughout much of history. The strong, reliable bonds that stand the tests of life no longer exist as they once did. We believe that God put the family structure in place for many reasons that are detailed in the Bible, but he also allowed for the situation when things didn't work out in a broken world. He called the family of faith of which we are a part to fill the gaps left by abuse, broken marriages and the consequences of lives lived without God. We strive to be the greater family of faith to each other each day, following the model of early church in Acts 2:42-47...
Task 3:
Making Disciples...
When Jesus was leaving this earth, he left a definite command to his followers - and we believe that the command applies to us today... Through the gospels in the New Testament, Jesus showed us how to and commanded us to GO, MAKE, BATPTISE and TEACH... Join us in this mission that shapes the world!!
